Major life changes, traumatic events, and shifts cause us to feel a disconnect between our mind and body. I work to bridge the gap between our inner and outer worlds to help facilitate one's own sense of peace, clarity, and growth. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist who believes that all we do is relational, and every situation or circumstance helps to shape who we are and who we are becoming.
I work from a place of empowerment and compassion, hoping to foster and facilitate a self-discovering process, while co-creating a space to rediscover all the light and knowing one already holds within. Therapy is most effective with an established connection where you feel seen and understood.
I use a strength-based approach where my clients learn their innermost gifts that already exist. Stress, trauma, relationships, and life sometimes leave us forgetting who we really are. Together, we use self-discovery to rewrite the narrative and remember.
As a professionally trained and experienced therapist, I have the tools and understanding to help you to create the life you imagine and get a renewed sense of self.
I was a special education teacher for 16 years, in a local school district, specializing in students with social-emotional deficits and Autism. This experience is integrated into almost all the work I do. Working with this population and family members is a niche of mine.
MFT's are the specific mental health care provider that are trained to do couples counseling. I believe in strengthening the connection and allowing each partner to view life situations through their partner's lens. See the service page for more information
I have taken trainings through CHOP's gender clinic specific to working with transgender clients and the LGBTQI+ population. Together we can explore self-identity in multiple areas to get a greater sense of self.
Life experience has also led me to work with specific populations. I had a traumatic birth experience and since then have worked with many women who have also shared trauma during birth. We work through the grief cycle to make meaning of the experience. I am trained in trauma-focused internal family systems and my own personal experience with trauma has helped to relate to clients in a similar situation.
Committing to a healthier lifestyle is just that – a commitment, and it’s a big one that will take a lot a dedication. My commitment is to provide you with accountability, understanding and support.
I believe one of the most essential pieces in making therapy work is the connection between the therapist and client. I honor the fact that not everyone is a "perfect match". To help you determine if we would be a good fit I provide all new inquiring clients with a free 10 minute consultation
I support individuals, families, and couples navigating life transitions, trauma, identity, and relationships. My background in special education and lived experience with birth trauma shape my work in powerful ways.
Focus areas:
Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that you already hold the answers within. I use a trauma-informed, strength-based lens — blending Internal Family Systems (IFS), relational therapy, and self-discovery to help you reconnect with your truth, your voice, and your vision. I am committed to providing a supportive and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their inner world.
My work lives at the intersection of clinical clarity and soul truth. I don’t give advice—I translate the wisdom that’s already within.
I was a Special Education teacher for 17 years before I left Council Rock School District to open my practice full time.
