My name is Xanthe Jamanis. I’m a pre-licensed professional counselor and I am currently in my final semester of my graduate studies in Counseling, with a concentration in trauma, at Arcadia University. In 2023, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies from Arcadia.
I grew up in Lancaster, PA and was a competitive athlete my entire life. My passion for mental health began in high school, when I started to feel the weight of the many changes and uncertainties that come with preparing for college and navigating early adulthood. That experience shaped my desire to support others through transitional periods. As a college level student-athlete, on the softball team, I became especially interested in the mental health needs of athletes and the broader well-being of college students.
I’m particularly drawn to working with teens, adolescents, and young adults. Some of my special interests include: trauma-informed care, identity development, life transitions, and supporting clients in building self-esteem. I strive to create a warm, affirming, and collaborative space where clients feel safe to express themselves and grow.
