Hello everyone!
I am delighted to introduce my new role at Rooted to Rise... intervention specialist!
While completing my occupational therapy capstone project at Rooted to Rise, one of my favorite parts was getting to know each child and family individually and helping families better understand the way their child experiences and responds to the world.
To continue building upon this work, I now offer individualized Intervention Experiences for any family at Rooted to Rise.
Keep reading as I explain what an intervention experience is and how you can get started today ☺︎
Educational Background:
- Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Duquesne University, 2025
- Occupational Therapy Doctoral Candidate at Duquesne University, expected December 2026
- Completed Occupational Therapy Capstone Project at Rooted to Rise, Summer of 2026

Each experience is a hands-on, one-on-one educational opportunity designed around a child's individual needs and interests. Depending on the child, an experience might focus on sensory self-awareness and strategies, emotional regulation, executive functioning, routines, sleep, organization, or another area that would be meaningful and useful in their everyday life.
What I especially love is that the child isn't just given strategies. We explore together what works for their brain and body, and they create something they understand, helped design, and can actually use.
Each Intervention Experience includes:
Individualized needs & interest check-in → hands-on experience → personalized take-home tool → parent follow-up

Simply choose an intervention experience you are interested in and fill out the corresponding form

The child will create a personalized emotion board by selecting sensory strategies to help them regulate.

The child will create a visual schedule in order to foster independence in a routine.

The child will create a personalized sleep routine that incorporates sensory regulation strategies for a great night.

The child will create a themed sensory bin that includes preferred sensory material.
We're excited to launch our fall lineup — social skills groups for ages 6–9 and 10–12, an Executive Functioning Lab for middle schoolers, and a Gardening Club.
All beginning September 19th!
